Original Work presentations are done, which means that we have finished semester one! It was a little bit of a manic push to the end, but I finished and I ended up with a successful piece of work that I am happy with.
My presentation didn't go as well as I had wished, but I can blame that on my lack of preparedness. I prepared for the presentation differently than I normally did (and it did not work). I have learned what works and what doesn't, and I can move past this and apply this knowledge for my future presentations.
I already have some ideas for where I want to go for next semester. I plan to bring back the comparative aspect of my work and refer back to Norway. I also plan to apply sexual victimization rates to recidivism and see how one affects the other. I am not completely sure if I am going to continue with mental illness, but I will continue looking at the PREA.
I am proud of myself for the work I accomplished this semester. I changed my topic multiple times and was a little lost at some points but I still got some great work done.
While there is still work to be done, for now, I will be getting some rest over break. See you in 2022!
