Push to the End (12/8)

Original Work is due this Friday! I have a lot of work to do, but I am working towards something great. Over the weekend I wrote the first part of my Original Work about Mental Illness in prison systems and why so many people with mental illnesses are incarcerated.

The second section of my Original Work discusses the Prison Rape Elimination Act and what sections apply specifically to individuals with mental illness. As of now, there are sub-standards of many PREA standards that apply and a few standards that apply directly. PREA Standard 9. Medical and Mental Treatment applies directly to inmates with mental illnesses and attempts to provide safety for them as well as training for those in charge.

I have blocked out time tonight to work, and I will (or at least should) be able to get most of my work done. I will push to the end, and work more on the presentation this weekend (I just want to focus on getting my work done). I am proud of the work I have done this year and excited to see what it ends up being.
