To Blog or Not to Blog? (1/11)

Good afternoon/whenever you are reading this!

This week our main focus in class is getting our display boards ready. However, Winter Showcase has been canceled. It is a little frustrating, especially because there wasn't one last year either (due to Covid), and because I have been looking forward to another chance to present, which means I will not be able to experience this at all. I know it will be alright in the end though, and I look forward to what we will do at IHS to showcase our hard work!

I am already starting to plan for my Final Product and have decided just to focus on how mental illness and recidivism interact. In fact, I have found a Harvard Undergraduate student who has written about this topic, and I plan to reach out to her to see if she would be able to have a discussion. I also have begun gathering sources for when I start digging into research, so I should be prepared. I also plan to bring the comparative aspect of my work into this again and will need to find more information about Norway's practices with mental illness.

I am excited for the new semester, and cannot wait to see what I will accomplish (especially now that I do not have as many responsibilities, such as college applications and marching band).
