DISTRIBUTION
Each inmate will get three full meals a day, using the credits they are given for the week. Food will be served cafeteria style so that inmates have options. Extra credits or personal funds can be used to purchase food from the commisary (as well as hygiene products).

NUTRITION IN MEALS
One of the main issues having to do with food in American prisons is the quantity (calories) and the nutritional value of it. Many times full-grown men are eating food with less nutritional value than a school lunch for a 10-year-old. The diet of an inmate should be around 2000 calories per day. Below is an example of breakfast the would be acceptable.

Breakfast example:
- 2 eggs (scrambled)
- 2 pieces of white toast
- 150 g of fresh fruit (1 medium-size apple, banana, orange, or pear, etc.)
- 1 container of yogurt
- 16 oz of coffee (with choice of cream and sugar)
About 585-635 calories in total
