GED PREP
GED Prep will be offered as a course through the building with an in-house teacher. GED also offers a website where anyone can make a free account and take prep classes.

HIGHSCHOOL
If an inmate would rather finish their high school diploma (rather than taking the GED) they can take it online through a program like Excel High School. Teachers will function like tutors in this scenario and will help the inmate with whatever specific subject matter they need assistance with.

COLLEGE
If possible the facility will try to partner with a nearby college or university and have students come teach credits. If not possible inmates will use a nationwide correspondence program, or nearby community college (if they offer an online course version or correspondence to complete their degree). Inmates will be encouraged to get a degree in the field they want to work in after their release.

SCHOLARSHIPS
There are scholarships available for inmates through organizations like the Transcending Through Education Foundation. Inmates will be provided with the resources and materials to complete an application for any scholarships. Inmates are eligible for FAFSA (there are limitations because they are incarcerated though) so that could also be used.

TECHNOLOGY
A contingent on education working in this system is the necessary materials. Especially having to do with technology. Inmates will need to have access to either a personal device such as an Ipad or a Chromebook or have access to desktop computers at the facility. This technology is necessary so that inmates can have access to an email account and a way to complete work or applications. There will most likely be concerns over unrestricted browsing and communications, but when setting up the internet and devices certain sites and functions can be blocked.
